Sidney Resources Corporation (OTC:SDRC) announced it has expanded its Warren District project in Warren, Idaho by 1,900 acres, bringing the total footprint of the project to 2,234 acres.
The company highlighted that this represents a more than 500% increase, greatly enhancing the scope of future exploration and development.
The expansion claims cover historically significant mines, including the New Era, Monitor, Summit, Rainier, Minnahaha, Gaiety, Silver Monarch, Dewey, and Firecracker Mines.
All of these mines have historical workings with tailings piles, which the company is evaluating for precious metals content.
Of particular significance is the New Era Mine, where an initial surface ore analysis has returned notable quantities of platinum group metals, gold, and silver.
The expansion claims also encompass three unnamed veins north of the Lucky Ben target and another unnamed vein to the west.
The company believes its strategic expansion will allow it to capitalize on previously untapped deposits, extending its project life and increasing value to shareholders.
"Through the strategic expansion of our claims we have positioned Sidney Resources Corporation (OTC:SDRC) to defend and insulate itself from the influence of other corporations that may try to 'buy' the region,” Sidney Resources CEO Sean-Rae Zalewski commented.
“This is our second regional expansion. This is just the tip of the spear of activity we will share this fall.”
Dan Hally, the company’s chief operating officer: added: "As we advance the expansion of the Warren District project, it's important to emphasize that each new claim was strategically selected through meticulous research and geological exploration as part of our long-term plan to secure control over a world-class deposit.”
