Voyageur Pharmaceuticals Ltd (TSX-V:VM, OTC:VYYRF) announced it is adding to its executive team with the appointment of Dr Iryna Saranchova as its new chief science officer.
Saranchova joins Voyageur from her previous role as chief clinical officer at MYND Life Sciences, where she spearheaded research in neuroinflammation, osteoimmunology, and oncoimmunology.
Voyageur told shareholders that Saranchova is recognized for her leadership in global research collaborations, her academic roles at prestigious institutions, and her pioneering work in cancer immunotherapy, which includes several patents and numerous publications in leading scientific journals.
In her new role, Saranchova will focus on advancing Voyageur's fullerene-based platform for multi-functional applications and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations for its current suite of barium and iodinated contrast medium drugs.
“Voyageur's competitively priced imaging products offer the potential for global impact, especially in underserved regions, by improving early diagnostics and saving lives,” Saranchova said in a statement.
Brent Willis, CEO of Voyageur Pharmaceuticals, highlighted the strategic importance of Saranchova's appointment, telling investors that Saranchova’s “proven expertise in clinical research, immunology, and intellectual property development” aligns with the firm’s focus on innovation.”
