Latvian air carrier Airbaltic is considering dual listing of its shares on the Nasdaq Liga and the London Stock Exchange by the end of the year.
Though there are no concrete plans, Airbaltic’s chief executive Martin Grauss confirmed IPO discussions to City AM while stating that “if you talk about IPO, you cannot not consider London”.
He told Reuters that "we are talking to one strategic pre-IPO investor". A flotation could happen by the end of 2024, Grauss added.
Airbaltic swung to a profit and carried 4.5 million passengers in 2023.
If confirmed, Airbaltic would join Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana (LSE:AIRA), which floated on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year.
Air Astana shares were in high demand when the company floated in February, but after a brief honeymoon period interest began to taper off.
As of today, the airline’s stock is 28%.
