Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur appear to be in an off-pitch tussle this season over the spot of the Premier League’s most expensive club to support.
Premier League newcomer Ipswich Town has emerged as the cheapest for fans though, with a pint of beer only undercut at Manchester United Plc (NYSE:MANU) Old Trafford.
According to a report from sports company Flashscore, Ipswich topped the league based on ticket, shirt, food and drink prices, ahead of Southampton and Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea sat as the most expensive in the meantime, while big six rival Manchester United, perhaps surprisingly, came in as the sixth cheapest.
A beer at Old Trafford would set fans back just £3.00 for instance, as the division’s cheapest pint, against £6.30 at Arsenal’s Emirates.
Ticket prices at Arsenal were also found to be the highest, with the cheapest for the season up at £1,073, compared to West Ham’s lowest of £345.
