Tribe Technology PLC (AIM:TRYB) CEO Charlie King spoke at the Proactive One2One Investor Forum about the company’s cutting-edge autonomous equipment designed for the mining industry.
Drawing from his background in contract drilling, Charlie King shared the journey behind Tribe's development of autonomous drill rigs that minimise the need for human operators, improving safety and efficiency.
King emphasised how their technology not only replaces manual labor but also delivers valuable data to miners. "We’re not just selling a piece of equipment, we’re selling a data-generating machine,” King said, highlighting the integration of AI, automation, and innovative sampling systems.
Tribe Technology has already secured key partnerships, including Anglo American, and continues to scale its production, positioning itself at the forefront of smart mining solutions. Tribe Technology is pioneering safer and more effective methods for tier-one miners, with multiple patents and a commitment to reducing operator risk.
As the company transitions from R&D to commercialisation, King is confident in the future, aiming for market expansion with a focus on retrofit systems for existing rigs.
