Volvere (AIM:VLE) jumped over 13% on Friday morning after reporting higher profits on the back of a record performance from savoury products subsidiary Shire Foods.
Post-tax profit jumped from £0.44 million to £1.78 million over the first half of the year, turn-around investment firm Volvere (AIM:VLE) said Friday.
This came on the back of a 16% uptick in revenue to £22.2 million, which Volvere (AIM:VLE) said reflected a record for its sole subsidiary Shire.
Costs have largely stabilised for Shire, Volvere added, with stock levels having been built ahead of the firm’s typically busier period as colder weather sets in.
Shares climbed 13.2% to 1,595p on Friday.
