Futura Medical consensus increases materially

Analysts following Futura Medical PLC (AIM:FUM, OTC:FAMDF) have updated and significantly upgraded revenue forecasts in the wake of its better-than-expected interims - results that saw the sexual healthcare group post a maiden profit ahead of schedule.

It told investors that the City's abacus rattlers now see turnover for this year in the region of £13.4 million, rising to £18.6 million for 2025.

To put this into context, Trinity Delta (TD) had been expecting the top-line numbers for the next two financial years to be £9.2 million and £15.1 million respectively.

Analysts at the research house see the US debut of Eroxon, Futura's fast-acting erectile dysfunction gel as being pivotal.

It will be the only ED treatment sold over the counter in the States, giving it a huge potential advantage over the competition.

On the upgrades, TD said: "These are driven by the earlier than anticipated US launch, notably with increased milestones in both years.

"We caveat that forecasting revenues remains challenging given unpredictable launch dynamics (channel fill and stocking effects) and limited disclosure from partners (including variable milestone elements and undisclosed deal terms)."

TD has lifted its net present value for the business from £371 million to £392 million, which equates to a share price of 130p.

The stock closed Wednesday at 37p.
