Proactive’s Tylah Tully has Just the Facts about Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME)’s 3500 metre RC drilling program at its Sandstone Gold Project in Western Australia.
The project spans over 740 square kilometres in the Sandstone Greenstone Belt and holds an open-pit resource of 17.6 million tonnes at 1.5 grams per tonne gold, equating to 832,000 ounces.
This campaign will target the Vanguard, Ladybird, and Bull Oak deposits, alongside a first-pass drill at the newly identified Lightning prospect.
The Lightning prospect is located three kilometres west of the Vanguard Camp and has revealed a strong gold anomaly from infill soil sampling, with results peaking at nine hundred and 27 ppb.
Despite its proximity to Vanguard’s 2.3 million tonnes at two grams per tonne gold resource, this area’s relatively underexplored and hasn’t undergone RC drilling.
This campaign is part of Alto’s larger strategy to expand current resources and explore new opportunities within the historically significant gold-mining region.
The company says it's pleased to have a rig back on site and drilling underway, adding it will continue to focus on advancing the Sandstone Gold Project and looks forward to updating shareholders on the results of the drilling when they are received.
