North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) announced that it has completed the Operating Plan for its Mt. Vernon Gold Mine in Sierra County, California.
The plan is ready for filing with Federal Mine Regulators (MSHA) as required ahead of commencing production at the mine.
Detailed 3D modelling, ore extraction, surface operations and safety and logistical planning are largely complete and mining infrastructure, including equipment and certain consumables, are on-site.
The first phase of mining will involve extracting a 500-ton bulk sample from a high-grade gold zone, which has shown consistent gold grades between 1 ounce to 4.8 ounces per ton over 150 feet.
This material will be used to optimize the mining, milling and metallurgy and for the production of gold bars and platinum buttons for sale.
This ore is suitable for a simple crush and gravity table recovery, previous testing has demonstrated, and is well suited to be processed at the company’s 100-ton-per-day Bishop Gold Mill, located in Inyo County, California.
The Mt. Vernon Mine, connected to the same rich gold channel as the Ruby Mine, holds an estimated 954,000 tons of gold-bearing ore.
