EuroPacific Metals rebrands as Ibero Mining

EuroPacific Metals (TSX-V:EUP) announced a major rebranding effort, changing its name to Ibero Mining Corp.

The decision “better aligns with the company's strategy of tapping into mineral resources in Europe and along the Iberian Peninsula,” CEO Karim Rayani said in a statement.

"I am pleased with the progress our team has made in such a short period of time,” the CEO added.

The name change reflects the company’s enhanced focus on the Iberian Pyrite Belt, a region renowned for its rich deposits of polymetallic sulfides, including copper, zinc, lead, and gold.

This area, spanning southern Portugal and Spain, is celebrated for its volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits, making it an attractive target for resource exploration.

EuroPacific aims to leverage its expertise to identify and develop resources in this historically significant mining region using cost-efficient extraction methods.

In conjunction with the name change, the company will also update its ticker symbol on the TSX Venture Exchange from ‘EUP’ to ‘IMC.’

Trading under the new name and ticker symbol will commence at market opening on September 13, 2024.
