Royal Helium assembles technical committee as part of strategic repositioning, names new chair

Royal Helium Ltd (TSX-V:RHC, OTCQB:RHCCF) unveiled a strategic repositioning initiative and leadership changes aimed at enhancing long-term shareholder value.

The company has initiated a strategic repositioning process, which includes the formation of a Technical Committee, it said in a Monday statement.

Composed of Martin Wood, industry expert Brent Ziegler, and board member Karl Kurz, the committee will focus on the successful execution and operational efficiency of the Steveville project.

Key aspects of this strategy will involve disciplined capital allocation and stringent cost control measures, Royal Helium noted.

"The inclusion of Karl and Brent on the technical committee marks a pivotal advancement in steering our plant towards a horizon of stable operations and enhanced throughput,” Royal Helium CEO David Young told investors.

“Together, their cumulative decades of expertise in spearheading comparable ventures not only fortifies our technical strategy but also ensures a seamless integration of on-site activities, with executive oversight.”

In conjunction with the strategic repositioning, Royal Helium has announced the departure of John Pringle and Sylvain Laberge from the Board. Martin Wood will step in as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.

Additionally, Royal Helium has completed an employee headcount overhaul, aiming to streamline operations and reduce general and administrative expenses by over 40%.

Wood, with over 30 years of experience in the resource industry, has previously served as CEO and held various senior roles in resource-focused public companies.

"I am excited to be part of the team leading the repositioning efforts at Royal Helium, with a strategic focus on bringing the Steveville project to full capacity and, in time, developing the other high quality assets and revenue channels that exist within the Royal Helium portfolio,” Wood told shareholders.

The company continues to fulfill its off-take agreement, delivering purified helium trailers from the Steveville facility to one of the leading global helium consumers.
