Doubleview Gold eyes next phase of Hat project after maiden resource estimate

Doubleview Gold Corp (TSX-V:DBG, OTCQB:DBLVF) CEO Farhad Shirvani told investors that the company is focusing on developing its Hat project in British Columbia following its maiden resource estimate.

"With the filing of the report, Doubleview is closing its first chapter on the Hat project,” Shirvani said in a statement.

“As we are continuing to work on the project, our focus is now on the next development steps. The Hat project is becoming important critical minerals resource project for the province of British Columbia and Canada."

The MRE, which was released in July 2024, includes an indicated resource estimate of 150 million tonnes (Mt) at a grade of 0.408% copper equivalent (CuEq) and an inferred resource estimate of 477 Mt at a grade of 0.344% CuEq.

At a 0.2% CuEq cut-off grade, the indicated resource amounts to 1.353 billion pounds (Blb) of CuEq, which comprises 733 million pounds (Mlb) of copper, 28 Mlb of cobalt, 929 thousand ounces of gold, and 2 million ounces of silver.

The inferred resource estimate totals 3.619 Blb of CuEq, including 1.945 Blb of copper, 91 Mlb of cobalt, 2.328 million ounces of gold, and 7.575 million ounces of silver.

In addition to the copper, gold, and cobalt resources, the Hat project shows significant potential for scandium, with an estimated 300 to 500 million tonnes at an average grade of 40 ppm (0.004%) Sc2O3.
