Arecor Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AREC) has been selected to present at the 60th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Madrid.
The biopharma company will showcase positive phase I clinical trial data for its innovative insulin candidate, AT278, during a late-breaking oral presentation on September 11.
AT278 is an ultra-concentrated, ultra-rapid-acting insulin formulation designed for overweight and obese individuals with type 2 diabetes. Arecor’s abstract for this prominent event highlights the potential impact of AT278, particularly as there are currently no similar concentrated insulins available on the market.
The presentation will be delivered by Professor Thomas Pieber from the Medical University of Graz, Austria, and is expected to attract significant interest from diabetes specialists attending the conference.
The EASD conference, which runs from September 9-13, is a key event in the diabetes research calendar, bringing together leading experts and showcasing cutting-edge developments in the field.
