CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) says there has been a delay in its applications for RFIs for the advanced Laguna Verde and Viento Andino projects and three others in joint ventures in Chile.
Having expected the outcome by the end of August, CTL added it now expects to hear from the Chilean Government within a matter of weeks.
CTL added that it had maintained an ongoing dialogue with relevant parties in Chile and also continues to receive strong support from local indigenous community leaders in moving towards the early award of a CEOL for the advanced Laguna Verde project.
The statement added that CTL believes it is well-positioned to meet the criteria expected to be set out by the government for the award of a CEOL given its licence position and the extensive work programmes carried out by the company over the past 2-3 years.
This included the advancement of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) through its one-tonne-per-month pilot plant and ongoing support from local community leaders.
