Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals hails potential of new CDX antibody

Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals PLC (LSE:HEMO, OTC:HOPHF) has announced the development of a new version of its bi-specific CDX antibody aimed at treating relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), which also shows potential for use in bone marrow transplant conditioning.

The improved CDX, developed using Lonza's bYlok bispecific pairing technology, has demonstrated significantly enhanced efficacy in laboratory testing, with further animal studies currently in progress.

"The development of an improved version of our CDX bi-specific antibody holds significant promise for enhancing treatment outcomes for patients battling often incurable blood cancers," said CEO Dr Vladislav Sandler.

"This advancement could accelerate the progress of this product candidate and allow us to resume its development toward the clinic. It may also attract new industry partners interested in fast-tracking the co-development of CDX."
