Berkeley Group Holdings PLC (LSE:BKG) has marked time for the best part of 2024 with brokers questioning some of its strategic moves, such as into buy-to-rent.
In June, Citi said the move by the London-focused housebuilder overshadowed a reassuring 2024 performance and resilient 2025 guidance.
At that time, Berkeley stated recent trading had been subdued, with this expected to continue in the near term, reservations were down by a third year-on-year and prices were broadly stable.
Profit guidance for 2025 nonetheless was increased 5% to £525m with 2026 guidance re-affirmed at £450 million.
For 2025 UBS is forecasting net completions of 4,050 (3,521) at an average price of £620,000 (£680,000) with total completions of 4,350.
A trading update comes ahead of the AGM on Friday 6 September.
