Cordoba Minerals secures key permit for Alacran copper-gold-silver project

Cordoba Minerals Corp (TSX-V:CDB, OTCQB:CDBMF) received approval for the Mining Technical Work Plan for its Alacran copper-gold-silver project in Colombia.

The approval, granted on August 27, marks a significant milestone towards the construction of the mine, which is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025.

The PTO is one of two essential permits required for licensing the project for construction, Cordoba noted in a statement.

The application was initially submitted in November 2021.

CEO Sarah Armstrong-Montoya, thanked both the Colombian National Mining Agency and the Cordoba team for their efforts.

"The approval means we are one step closer to build the next copper-gold mine in Colombia,” Armstrong-Montoya said in a statement.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration and engagement with our stakeholders as Alacran progressing forward with full speed."

Cordoba Minerals, in partnership with JCHX Mining Management Co, is advancing the Alacran Project, located in Colombia's Department of Cordoba.

The company also has a 51% stake in the Perseverance copper project in Arizona.
