Immunic Inc (NASDAQ:IMUX) announced that it will be hosting a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Research and Development (R&D) Day on September 10 featuring discussions on the company’s lead drug asset vidofludimus calcium potential as a treatment for both relapsing and progressive MS patients.
The company’s management team, including CEO Daniel Vitt, COO Jason Tardio, chief medical officer Andreas Muehler, and chief scientific officer Hella Kohlhof will be joined by MS industry experts to discuss the MS space and vidofludimus calcium’s promise.
Featured experts are Dr Francesca Montarolo of the Neuroscience Institute Cavalieri Ottolenghi and University Hospital San Luigi Gonzaga of Orbassano in Turin, Italy and Dr Amit Bar-Or, chief of the MS division at the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.
Additionally, Immunic announced it would be participating in several scientific and investor conferences during September.
Dr Juliano Fonseca, Immunic’s head of preclinical development, will attend the DMDG 50th Open Meeting 2024 in York, the United Kingdom, from September 2 to 4.
Fonseca will present data from Immunic’s phase 1, open-label mass balance and pharmacokinetics study of vidofludimus calcium in a poster presentation.
At the 20th International Celiac Disease Symposium being held in Sheffield, the United Kingdom from September 5 to 7, Immunic’s senior manager of translational pharmacology Martina Wirth will present data from Immunic’s phase 1b clinical trial of IMU-856, an orally available and systemically acting small molecule modulator targeting SIRT6 (Sirtuin 6), in patients with celiac disease, in a late-breaking poster presentation.
From September 18 to 20, the company will attend the 40th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Members of the company’s management, medical, clinical and preclinical teams will attend and conference and data on vidofludimus calcium will be presented in an oral presentation and three ePosters.
Finally, at the 2024 Cantor Fitzgerald Global Healthcare Conference being held in New York from September 17 to 19, CEO Vitt will participate in a fireside chat on September 18, 2024, at 3:05pm.
