Warren Buffett sells more of Bank of America stake

Berkshire Hathaway Inc (NYSE:BRK.A) has sold another chunk of shares in Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) as it steadily reduces its holding in the Wall St bank.

Warren Buffet’s investment vehicle sold around US$982 million worth of BoA shares, taking its sales since mid-July to a total of US$5.4 billion or about 24.7 million shares.

Berkshire Hathaway has been an investor in BoA since 2011 and even after this latest sale remains the bank’s largest shareholder.

After this latest sale, it holds 903.8 million shares, worth $35.9 billion last night, though the shares eased 0.6% in overnight trading.
