American businessman John Textor plans to take his group of football clubs Eagle Football Holdings public on a US stock exchange at a valuation of US$2.3 billion, according to a Sky News report.
Per the report, Stifen and TD Cowen will be engaged to work on the initial public offering (IPO), with one other bank expected to join them.
The firm aims to raise US$500 million as part of its IPO plan and could begin trading as early as November, the publication said.
The company owns majority stakes in numerous football teams including Olympique Lyonnais in France, Botafogo in Brazil and second division team RWD Molenbeek in Belgium.
Textor through the company owns a minority stake in Premium League club Crystal Palace, which he is reportedly interested in selling.
Sky News said Textor has been approached by two parties over a potential deal for his stake in Crystal Palace, with the sale being handled by Raine Group.
Meanwhile, he is in exclusive talks to acquire Premier League side Everton.
