Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) managing director Andy Tudor joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss promising early regional exploration results from the Wallbrook Gold Project in the north-eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
The company completed a regional aircore drilling program, comprising 239 holes for 9,467 metres, which targeted four shallow, high-priority regional sites. The results reveal broad, high-grade near-surface gold assays, underscoring the potential for significant growth at the project.
Key intercepts include:
8 metres at 2.93 g/t gold within 28 metres at 1.05 g/t from 28 metres;
8 metres at 2.33 g/t gold within 14 metres at 1.37 g/t from 32 metres;
4 metres at 2.88 g/t gold within 24 metres at 0.83 g/t from 32 metres;
8 metres at 2.16 g/t gold within 36 metres at 0.65 g/t from 36 metres;
8 metres at 1.55 g/t gold within 20 metres at 0.77 g/t from 52 metres; and
2 metres at 4.28 g/t gold within 6 metres at 1.60 g/t from 24 metres.
These results validate Nexus’s exploration strategy focused on discovering near-surface gold at Wallbrook. A follow-up aircore drilling program is scheduled to commence in mid-September to further expand the footprint of the target areas and test additional priority sites.
Tudor said the results were a positive milestone, demonstrating Wallbrook's potential for further gold discoveries. The company is preparing for a busy second half of 2024 with ongoing exploration activities.
