EuroPacific Metals announces management changes, provides update on Miguel Vacas drill program

EuroPacific Metals (TSX-V:EUP) has announced several management changes, including the appointment of CEO Karim Rayani as executive chairman of the board.

Rayani, who has been a director of the company since October 17, 2023, succeeds Catalin Kilofliski.

Additionally, the company announced it has appointed Dr Wazir Khan to its board, a highly experienced exploration geologist with over 30 years in the field covering diverse metallogenic districts.

Khan holds advanced degrees in economic geology, igneous petrology, and mineralogy from institutions in the US and Pakistan.

His career includes significant contributions to early exploration efforts at major sites such as the Reko Diq copper-gold deposit in Pakistan and the Ring of Fire in Ontario, as well as overseeing mining operations and conducting research that has led to numerous publications.

"Wazir Khan's addition to our board strengthens our technical capabilities, his extensive experience in finding and developing projects from exploration through development will be of great benefit to EuroPacific," Rayani said in a statement.

"He will be a tremendous asset to the company as we further develop our project portfolio in Portugal along the Iberian Peninsula. I would like to finish by thanking Catalin for his years of service to the company, under his leadership the company made great strides, and we wish him well in his future endeavors."

Additionally, the company provided an update on its drill program at the Miguel Vacas copper project in Portugal.

It has completed 11 drill holes at the project totaling 1,410 meters, with most intersecting a quartz-breccia zone ranging from 5 to over 30 meters thick.

Results from eight holes show successful intersections along a 1.1km strike length, confirming the zone's continuity and potential extension both to the north and south.

Notable results include 22.8 meters grading 2.76% copper in Hole 1 and 12.3 meters grading 1.55% copper in Hole 3.

A deeper hole was drilled to investigate primary ore at depth, revealing significant sulphide mineralization, with assays still pending for three holes.
