Awale Resources Ltd (TSX-V:ARIC) has announced the appointment of key personnel as it advances the Odienné copper-gold project in Côte d'Ivoire.

The company has appointed economic geologist Andrew Smith as VP of exploration.

Smith brings more than 14 years of experience in exploration and mining, having held both technical and management roles across projects in West Africa and Canada.

Ardem Keshishian has taken on the role of VP Corporate Development & Investor Relations.

Keshishian has more than 15 years of experience across corporate development, investor relations, finance and capital markets, specializing in the mining sector.

Kirmat Noormohame, an exploration geologist with more than 25 years of experience in consulting roles within mining and exploration across Africa, has been appointed as Exploration Manager.

For the role of Principal Geologist, the company has tapped John Scott.

With a career spanning North America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australasia, Scott specializes in practical mentorship to upskill field teams, target generation, identifying mineralization controls, and developing robust geologic models at deposit, district and country scales.

Awalé CEO Andrew Chubb expressed his delight at this group of skilled and seasoned professionals joining the company.

“Awalé is moving into an exciting new chapter and the addition of their expertise will be instrumental in delivering our exploration efforts across our 100% owned properties, as well as advancing our existing discoveries at Odienné,” Chubb said.

“We are all excited and committed to realizing the full potential of both the Odienné project and delivering maximum value to our shareholders. These appointments also complement our efforts to strengthen our dedicated team in Côte d'Ivoire, where we are actively promoting and recruiting high quality people.”
