Empyrean Energy PLC (AIM:EME) has announced that its non-executive chair Dr Patrick Cross has stepped down effective immediately, and he will be succeeded by current non-executive director John (Spencer) Laycock.
Cross will remain on the Empyrean board as non-executive director.
"On behalf of the board of Empyrean, I would like to express our deep gratitude to Dr Patrick Cross for serving as our chairman over the past 20 years,” chief executive Tom Kelly said in a statement.
“Dr Cross has been chairman of Empyrean prior to our inclusion on LSE AIM and has been a dedicated and loyal contributor to the Company and the board of directors.”
He added: “Despite the reduced responsibility, we sincerely hope that Dr Cross will continue on as a valued member of the Empyrean team.”
