The bodies of five individuals, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his daughter Hannah, have been officially identified by the Italian Coastguard following a tragic yachting accident in the early hours of Monday.
Lynch’s body was recovered by divers on Thursday morning.
Lynch and 21 others were aboard the ‘Bayesian’ luxury yacht when freak weather caused it to capsize.
During the storm, 15 of the passengers were pulled to safety while one, the boat's chef, Ricardo Thomas, was identified as deceased.
A rescue operation attempted in vain to locate the missing six, which also included Morgan Stanley chair Jonathan Bloomer and his wife, and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife.
It is unclear which passenger remains unaccounted for.
The 22 passengers and crew were aboard the Bayesian to celebrate Lynch’s acquittal from fraud charges tied to the $11 billion sale of his software firm Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard in 2011.
