Technology Minerals' battery recycling associate exceeds its target

Technology Minerals PLC (LSE:TM1) said its 48%-owned battery recycling associate Recyclus exceeded its budgeted level for July.

Batteries received and processed came from vehicles, e-bikes and waste management clients, it said in a statement.

A new Discharge and Dismantle Unit (DDU) for Li-ion batteries at its Wolverhampton site is also now operational and processing inventory, the statement said, marking the UK's first industrial-scale full-service collection-to-black mass separation solution.

Via the unit, Recyclus can discharge and dissemble EV batteries on-site before processing.

Recyclus' Libox inventory of 50 'safe boxes' is also currently deployed with commercial customers under contracts and the commercial team with more being manufactured.

Robin Brundle, Technology Minerals chairman and Recyclus director, said: “July has been the busiest for us commercially where we have exceeded our battery throughput targets and continued to build traction across a number of sectors in the UK market.”
