Zeb Nickel secures key environmental authorization for South African mining project

Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) announced that it has received an Integrated Environmental Authorisation from the South African Department of Minerals and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) for its Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) project.

The approval marks a crucial step towards obtaining a mining right for the project, enabling the extraction of nickel, copper, platinum-group metals, and other minerals over a 30-year period.

The authorization allows Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) to proceed with activities outlined in the project's approved EIA, including measures related to air quality, water and waste management, and biodiversity protection.

The next step for the project is securing the final mining right from the DMPR, which will allow the commencement of mining operations.

Zeb Nickel's strategic focus remains on increasing nickel grades and improving project economics through further drilling, targeting higher-grade geological units identified in key zones of the project area.

"We are thrilled to receive this authorisation, which is a testament to our dedication to environmental responsibility,” CEO Anthony James Nieuwenhuys said in a statement.

“Our team has worked diligently to ensure that the Zeb Nickel project meets all regulatory requirements and contributes positively to the local community and environment.

“Zeb Nickel has engaged in extensive consultations with local communities, stakeholders, and environmental experts throughout the application process. The company remains committed to maintaining transparent communication and collaboration with all relevant parties as the project moves forward.”
