NuLegacy Gold Corp (TSX-V:NUG) recently initiated a private placement to raise up to C$1 million to fund the advancement of its Red Hill gold property in Nevada.
The proceeds will support property maintenance, administrative costs, and exploration activities, including the evaluation of new and existing targets identified through a thorough analysis of the Red Hill database.
Since December 2023, NuLegacy's geologists have conducted an in-depth analysis of the Red Hill database, validating four previously identified but untested targets in the Mid and South rifts and identifying two new targets. One new target, located west of the previous exploration zone, shares geological similarities with productive gold systems in the Cortez trend.
NuLegacy Gold CEO Albert Matter told shareholders that the funding is crucial for extending NuLegacy’s interest in Red Hill through December 2025, and for pursuing potential joint ventures or an outright sale of the property.
Reflecting on the company's journey, Matter candidly admitted, "To date, we failed to make The Discovery," referring to the elusive Carlin-type gold deposits that have made Nevada famous.
Despite this, Matter remains hopeful, emphasizing the involvement of a team with a proven track record.
"Our core exploration team and the wizards presented some very intriguing updates... including a brand new [target] from the Dean of Carlin geology himself, Mr. Robert Leonardson,” he said.
Matter also highlighted the personal commitment from himself and the board.
"As your CEO, I got skin in the game to the tune of (nearly) C$1.25 million and have committed additional funds," he said.
"It’s been 13 long years and C$74 million of our money... let’s give it one last shot."
