Northern Superior Resources Inc. (TSX-V:SUP, OTCQX:NSUPF) announced the kickoff of a major drilling campaign of more than 20,000 meters of expansion drilling at its Philibert gold property in Quebec.
The company said the drill campaign will look to expand mineralization along strike to the east and west and along the hanging wall trend north and down dip of the open pit resource and defined pit.
It said it has secured all necessary drilling permits for a total of 140 drilling sites, valid until August 1, 2026.
After conducting a request for proposal process, it has engaged Miikan Drilling, a majority Cree-owned joint venture between the Oujé-Bougoumou First Nation, the Mistissini First Nation, and Chibougamau Diamond Drilling for the project.
The project, in which Northern Superior holds a 75% interest, is located 9 kilometers from IAMGOLD’s Nelligan project and 60 kilometers southwest of Chibougamau.
Further, the company announced that it has appointed Kelly Malcolm and Will Randall to its technical committee.
Malcolm is a geologist who currently serves as president and CEO of Borealis Mining. Randall, who is also a geologist, serves as president and CEO of Freeman Gold.
