Manchester-based e-commerce company THG PLC (LSE:THG) has established a presence in the City of London financial hub with a new office at 107 Cheapside, situated between Bank and St Paul's tube stations.
Announcing the opening in its portfolio company CityAM’s online news site, THG said “this strategic move further solidifies THG’s presence in the UK’s business capital, reflecting the company’s continued growth and ambition to drive innovation within the industry”.
The new office “provides THG with a central hub in one of the world’s most important financial districts,” it added.
The move brings THG’s operations under the same roof as CityAM and other portfolio companies including Arrow Films and Cult Beauty.
Chris Hayward, policy chairman at the City of London Corporation, stated: “We’re thrilled that THG has chosen to relocate its London based brands into the City, reinforcing the Square Mile’s status as a prime destination for investment and growth.
He said the City of London is “focused on making the City a world-leading hub for both business and leisure, and we look forward to welcoming more companies to call it home.”
THG purchased CityAM “from the brink” 12 months ago, “to now becoming Britain’s No1 business media outlet”, THG founder Matthew Moulding recently wrote on LinkedIn.
