Maximus Resources Ltd (ASX:MXR, OTC:MXRRF) managing director Tim Wither joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss drill results from the Hilditch Gold Project. It completed a 26-hole reverse circulation drill program totalling 1,514 metres, demonstrating consistent shallow gold mineralisation.
Maximus reported significant intersections including 4 metres at 12.44 g/t gold from 47 metres and 11 metres at 1.14 g/t from 15 metres along with individual grades up to 25.93 g/t.
Preliminary metallurgical test results have also showed gold recoveries ranging from 91.4% to 95.8%, with further test work underway. The existing 19,500-ounce Hilditch resource is on granted mining tenements, with access to infrastructure and toll-treating options within about 60 kilometres.
A follow-up drill program is planned, aiming to update the mineral resource estimate. Additionally, preparations for Mining Proposal and Mine Closure submissions for open-pit operations have commenced.
The company has also reported a delay in assay results from the Wattle Dam offset drilling program, due to quality control issues, with results expected by the end of August 2024.
