Chinese EV company claims 10 minute charge time for new saloon

Chinese automaker Zeekr has unveiled new electric vehicle batteries that purportedly can outpace competitors like Tesla and BYD in charging speed.

According to the company, these upgraded batteries can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes when using ultra-fast charging stations.

In contrast, Tesla's Model 3 gains approximately 175 miles after a 15-minute charge, which is slightly less than half its total range.

The forthcoming 2025 007 sedan, set for release next week, will be the first to feature this advanced battery technology.

Remarkably, the batteries maintain efficient charging capabilities even in cold conditions, reaching 80% capacity in under 30 minutes at temperatures as low as -10°C.
