Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has provided an update on its exploration efforts at its Nisk polymetallic property in Nemaska, Quebec.
The company said, in addition to its 2024 summer drill program at the Lion Zone which continues to successfully intersect polymetallic mineralization, it has commenced a property-scale exploration program.
Exploration will include downhole and ground-based geophysical surveys, which will be integrated to update the current lithostructural component of the 3D model with enhanced gravity data. This 3D model can then be used to filter out false-positive targets interpreted from the geophysical surveys.
Power Nickel aims to identify new sub-surface targets and explore the continuity of mineralization across the 5.5-kilometer distance between the Nisk Main and Lion Zones
"With the addition of the $20 million of exploration capital and Dr Steve Beresford to our Board and Technical Team, we have significantly enhanced our ability to follow up our exploration success at Nisk,” Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch said in a statement.
“We are most encouraged with this summer's progress and believe our strategic approach will maximize the speed and size of our exploration discoveries.”
Power Nickel VP Exploration Ken Williamson added: "So far, 2024 has been an exciting year of discoveries for Power Nickel and we believe the best is yet to come.”
