C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) said it has secured a key surface access agreement, enabling it to advance exploration at its highly prospective Khaleesi project in Southern Peru.
The exploration company’s subsidiary, Molino Azul S.A.C., has executed a surface access rights agreement with the Cancahuani community for the copper-gold project, according to a statement from C3.
The Khaleesi project, which is part of the prolific Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt, is an undrilled prospect with significant potential due to its proximity to major mining operations like Las Bambas and Constancia.
Securing surface access was the final step required before proceeding with the Declaration of Environmental Impact (DIA), necessary for obtaining a drilling permit. C3 Metals has already completed the CIRA process, confirming the absence of archaeological remains in the project area.
"Khaleesi has always been one of the most prospective geological prospects in our portfolio,” Dan Symons, C3’s CEO said in a statement.
“With this critical agreement in place, we can now advance our exploration efforts more strategically."
C3 Metals plans to begin fieldwork, including soil geochemical surveys and surface mapping, with the aim of starting drilling by 2025, pending the completion of the permitting process.
