Accesso Technology Group PLC (AIM:ACSO, OTC:LOQPF) has announced the sad passing of chief financial officer Fern MacDonald, who died on 12 August following a battle with cancer.
Bill Russell, accesso’s non-executive chairman, said: "On behalf of the accesso board I would like to express my sincere condolences to Fern's family.
“Quite apart from being a model CFO she was an outstanding person whose contribution to the company was immeasurable. She will be sorely missed by all."
accesso’s chief executive officer Steve Brown added: "We are heartbroken at the passing of Fern, our beloved colleague and dear friend. Her commitment to her work and dedication to our team inspired all of us to strive for excellence.
“On a personal level, she was my trusted advisor with incredible intelligence and unmatched determination. She faced this health challenge with the same unyielding courage and strength that we all admired in her.
“I feel fortunate to have worked alongside her and she will be profoundly missed. Our hearts go out to her husband, son, and her entire family."
Matthew Boyle, the group's current VP of Finance, will assume the role of interim CFO effective immediately.
