Coniagas Battery Metals (TSX-V:COS) has been invited by the Governor of Lualaba, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), to explore strategic partnerships and supply agreements during a due diligence mission in September 2024.
The trip will serve as part of the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance its vertically integrated operations and align with sustainable mining practices.
Coniagas Battery Metals (TSX-V:COS) announced that Madame Governor Fifi Masuka of Lualaba personally invited the company for a due diligence mission in the DRC from September 9 to 28, 2024.
This invitation follows the Congolese-Canadian Investment Seminar held in Toronto, Ontario, where Coniagas participated alongside key figures, including the Canadian Minister of International Development and other strategic partners.
Since 2017, Coniagas has been exploring potential feedstock streams and processing plants along the Central African copper belt. The upcoming mission aims to establish strategic partnerships and long-term supply agreements, which could enhance the company’s vertically integrated network of assets.
During the trip, Coniagas plans to review various copper-cobalt concentrate streams, including a significant 30 million tonnes of stockpiled material.
The company intends to leverage its Re-2Ox technology for sustainable and environmentally responsible mining practices.
