Flutter Entertainment PLC (LSE:FLTR)’s full-year guidance will be in full focus when the betting firm publishes second-quarter results on Tuesday, August 13.
According to UBS, “material uncertainty” remains over whether Flutter can stick to guidance for adjusted pre-tax earnings of US$635 million to US$785 million in the US.
This comes after US-peer Draftkings downgraded its own guidance last week on “consumer-friendly outcomes and higher promotion costs”.
“Taxation headwinds” in the States have also cast doubt over FanDual-owner Flutter’s outlook, UBS said, with the results from the US business set to be “key”.
Outside of the US, Citi analysts previously noted favourable football results should have driven revenues in the likes of Flutter’s Paddy Power and Betfair brands.
The bank anticipated revenue growth of 15% for the second quarter, following a 16% increase in the first, with UBS adding a reiteration of guidance would likely be well received by investors.
Flutter’s latest update is also set to be the first since its listing move to the US, with the company confirming it had completed the relocation to the New York Stock Exchange and switched to a standard listing in London last May.
Flutter’s London-listed shares have climbed 7.4% over the year so far.
