Analysts at Couloir Capital have repeated their ‘Buy’ rating for Fathom Nickel Inc (CSE:FNI, OTCQB:FNICF) as the company explores its two “highly prospective” nickel projects in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The company’s projects – Gochager Lake and Albert Lake - are located in an underexplored portion of the Trans-Hudson corridor, where present-day nickel mines like Thompson and Raglan are located.
Its position in this area offers it a “first-mover advantage,” analysts believe.
Fathom Nickel is focusing its exploration efforts on the Gochager Lake deposit for the remainder of 2024.
The company recently received a new exploration permit which allows it to drill up to 60 holes and construct an all-season camp and temporary “fly camps,” minimizing helicopter use.
“As exploration work and drilling are expected to continue throughout the year, we can expect steady news flow on exploration progress and drill results,” analysts wrote in a note to clients.
“Fathom Nickel has outlined a clear exploration thesis for both flagship projects and is making steady advances on both. As more exploration is carried out, the company’s understanding of the geology and controls of the project on mineralization continues to improve.”
The analysts also highlighted the strength of Fathom Nickel’s management team.
“The team has delivered on its exploration plans, communicates its strategy clearly, and is transparent in its financial reporting,” they wrote.
“The demonstrated calibre affords the company ongoing institutional support, allowing it to deploy funds effectively to generate shareholder wealth.”
