Awale Resources Ltd (TSX-V:ARIC) revealed high-grade gold assay results from its ongoing drilling campaign at the Charger prospect at the Odienné project in Côte d'Ivoire.
Results include 20 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over a 29-meter (m) interval from 149m downhole, which includes a particularly rich segment of 39.5 g/t gold over 8m.
Awalé described the mineralization as well-distributed across the intersection, with no significant nugget effect, indicating a consistent and robust mineralization profile.
The new findings are situated near a previously reported high-grade intersection of 46 g/t gold over 32m, which could suggest that the high-grade breccia zones encountered are linked, and further drilling may continue to reveal increased gold volumes.
Three out of the first five holes drilled at the Charger Prospect have successfully intercepted the target breccia zone.
Follow-up drilling at Charger has confirmed the continuity of the high-grade breccia mineralization at Charger, CEO Andrew Chubb told shareholders.
“We look forward to continuing to drill test this high-grade target,” Chubb said in a statement.
“As I have mentioned before, the harder we press at Odienné, the more it gives back, and we're only just scratching the surface."
The company plans to resume drilling after the wet season, with a further 12-15,000 meters scheduled for 2024.
