T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS, ETR:TM5) chief executive Mike Sievert described “another industry-leading quarter”, as the telecoms operator reported revenue and profit ahead of market forecasts.
Revenue for T-Mobile’s second quarter amounted to $19.772 billion, up from $19.196 billion last year, and comfortably better than the $19.608 billion predicted by Wall Street analysts.
At $2.9 billion, net income was up from $2.2 billion in 2023.
The firm said its core earnings (core adjusted EBITDA) grew by 9% year-over-year to $8 billion, whilst (adjusted) free cash flow was up 54% to $4.4 billion.
Earnings per share meanwhile amounted to $2.49, beating last year’s $1.86, and a consensus market forecast of $2.28.
T-Mobile said a focus on customer value and a ‘superior network experience’ were drivers and Mike Sievert told investors that there was “a lot of room to run”.
In New York, T-Mobile stock was up around 3% in premarket with shares priced at $180.60.
