Trillion Energy completes well perforation program at West Akcakoca-1

Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE:TCF, OTCQB:TRLEF) has provided investors an update on the perforations of the West Akcakoca-1 well at the SASB gas field in the southwestern Black Sea offshore Türkiye.

The oil and gas producer reported that the remaining three perforation intervals totaling 4 metres were perforated at the West Akcakoca-1 well for a total of five zones.

Following delays due to weather conditions and the receipt of spare parts required to advance, the perforation program is now complete.

The initial two perforations consisted of 5 meters of gas pay and increased the well head pressure from 1150 psi to 1350 psi. The perforation of the next three zones increased the well head pressure from 1350 psi to 1694 psi.

Trillion Energy said the West Akcakoca-1 is now producing 2.8 MMcf/d using a 28/64 choke to maintain its high pressure and prevent interference with other wells.

Combined production from the Akcakoca platform, which includes the Guluc-2, West Akcakoca-1 and South Akcakoca-2 wells, is 7.3 MMcf/d.

The company expects production to increase as new tubing is installed on additional wells.

“We have now perforated all remaining gas pay in the SASB wells. We are pleased with the results,” Trillion CEO Arthur Halleran said in a statement.

“Installation of production tubing in the past required a jack-up rig which was extremely expensive. However, we intend to run the new production tubing without a rig using a snubbing unit, which is substantially cheaper and will provide a long-term production solution.”
