Phoenix Copper Ltd (AIM:PXC, OTCQX:PXCLF) has renewed its option over the Redcastle Cobalt Property with an extension to the two main exploration expenditure commitments by two years, to 2026 and 2028 respectively.

This amendment requires Electra to spend US$1.5 million on exploration or other works by the third anniversary date of May 21, 2026, with an additional US$1.5 million to be spent by May 21, 2028.

Anglo American PLC (LSE:AAL) slipped into the red after the miner took a US$1.6 billion write-down of the Woodsmith fertiliser development in Yorkshire.

The miner had already said it would slow down the development of the polyhalite mine pending a final investment decision as part of a restructuring of its businesses after a failed bid from BHP.

Tharisa PLC (LSE:THS, JSE:THA, OTC:TIHRF) has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for wheeled renewable energy for the Tharisa Mine on the Bushveld Complex of South Africa.

The 15-year agreement with Etana will see 44% of Tharisa Mine's electricity energy supplied via wheeled energy from wind and solar farms in the Western Cape and Northern Cape using existing grid infrastructure.

Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM) notched up record gold production for the fourth consecutive quarter with 19,271 ounces produced at the Davyhurst operations in Western Australia, one of numerous key value milestones that have set a strong growth platform for the company going into FY25.

Gold production for the three months was 11% higher than the previous quarter and came with no lost time injuries.

CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) reported more encouraging results from the first stage of its lithium carbonate elution pilot in Chile.

Results from the latest fine-tuning showed the DLE adsorbent achieved a lithium recovery rate of approximately 95% from the brine, with total recovery (adsorption plus desorption) achieving approximately 88%.

Ahead of its AGM Harry Adams, executive chairman, said drilling last year had better defined the known mineral resources at the projects and discovered nearby deposits.
