Cordoba Minerals awards engineering contracts for Alacran

Cordoba Minerals Corp (TSX-V:CDB, OTCQB:CDBMF) said it has awarded several key engineering contracts for its Alacran project in Colombia.

The company has signed a US$15.8 million contract with JCHX Mining Management (JCHX) for the detailed engineering design and procurement of the processing and on-site facilities at Alacran.

JCHX, known for its strong track record in mine development and construction, is also a cornerstone investor and joint venture partner in the project.

Additionally, Cordoba awarded a US$1.3 million contract to consulting engineering firm BBA for the detailed engineering design of the open-pit mine. Another US$1.9 million contract for the detailed engineering design of the waste and water management facility has been granted to Knight Piésold Consulting.

"We look forward to kicking off the detailed engineering design process next month with the selected engineering groups,” Sarah Armstrong-Montoya, CEO of Cordoba said in a statement.

"We have confidence in their capacities and experience to advance the Alacran project towards the construction stage, which is anticipated to commence next year."

The engineering work is scheduled to start in August 2024.
