Braveheart Investment Group PLC (AIM:BRH) has announced that Kirkstall Limited, in which Braveheart holds an 86% stake, has appointed Beijing Kilby Biotechnology (BKB) as the exclusive distributor for its Quasi Vivo® products in China.
BKB will undertake an 18-month campaign aimed at increasing sales across the country.
Ansen Pan, chief executive of BKB, stated: "The 3D cell culture and organ-on-chip related products are currently in high demand in the Chinese market... We are deeply honoured to collaborate with Kirkstall and promote their excellent technology."
In an investment update, Braveheart also updated on its wholly owned subsidiary Paraytec.
Paraytec has confirmed that its CX300 instrument can detect gram-negative bacteria in human blood in approximately 90 minutes, a significant improvement over the current gram test, which takes between 24 and 48 hours.
Paraytec has also filed a UK patent application for this method, potentially enabling the company to license the technology to other manufacturers.
"We are excited about the progress both Kirkstall and Paraytec are making in their respective fields," said Trevor Brown, chief executive of Braveheart.
