EuroPacific Metals hits high-grade copper in latest drilling at Miguel Vacas

EuroPacific Metals (TSX-V:EUP) unveiled positive results from its drilling program at the Miguel Vacas copper deposit.

Results revealed significant high-grade copper mineralization, extending the known mineralized zone and supporting future exploration and resource estimation.

The latest drilling included a 350-meter hole beneath a previously drilled section, intersecting a mineralized zone of 10.5 meters grading 2.56% copper, with a high-grade interval of 5.9 meters grading 4.52% copper.

This new zone is located 80 meters north-northeast of the initial high-grade discovery, which had 22.8 meters grading 2.76% copper, including 9 meters grading 7.49% copper.

Phase 1 drill results are still pending, according to the company.

“Once these results are available, we look to move forward to an initial resource estimation of the drilled section of the supergene blanket and expand the campaign to investigate strike and depth extensions to the mineralization,” CEO Karim Rayani said in a statement.

The Miguel Vacas mine, situated 180 kilometers east of Lisbon, spans nearly two kilometers along strike and remains open at depth.

To date, EuroPacific has completed 11 holes totaling 1,410 meters, with eight holes reporting results that confirm the breccia zone extends 1.1 kilometers along strike.
