Doubleview Gold files Archaeological Impact Assessment results for Hat project

Doubleview Gold Corp (TSX-V:DBG, OTCQB:DBLVF) announced that it has filed the results of Archaeological Impact Assessments at its Hat polymetallic project in British Columbia with the Archaeology Brand, Ministry of Forests, where the review is in its final stages.

The company said the archaeological assessments were extensive and included field inspections and subsurface testing.

The assessment aimed to identify any archaeological resources within the project area, assess potential impacts from proposed exploration work, and provide management with recommendations, including viable alternatives for managing unavoidable adverse impacts.

Field survey and testing results found that there are no heritage conservation concerns for the currently proposed drilling sites at the Hat project claims, Doubleview reported.

A “Chance Find Procedure” is in place for the project which outlines what measures will be taken if an archaeological artifact is found.

"We are pleased with this assessment and thank everyone involved for their efforts. The company has shown unwavering commitment to the best exploration practices, which these days involves more than geological surveys,” Doubleview CEO Farshad Shirvani commented.

“With the guidance of the Archaeology Branch, our field operations team will have more clarity on proceeding with drill programs at Hat.”
