Chesapeake Financial Shares Inc. (OTCQX:CPKF) announced the retirement of Jean Light, SVP Senior Wealth Management Advisor at Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Wealth Management.
In a statement, Chesapeake CEO Jeff Szyperski called Light “the cornerstone of our wealth management and trust business in the Northern Neck.”
“Her nearly 43-year tenure with Chesapeake Wealth Management has seen us grow from a nascent Trust Department to the comprehensive wealth management entity we are today. We owe much of our success to Jean’s dedication and leadership,” Szyperski said.
Light began her career with Chesapeake Wealth Management in November 1981 in the Trust Department of Chesapeake Bank.
In preparation for Light’s retirement, Chesapeake Wealth Management brought on Kemp Gaskill, CFP, CTFA, ATFA VP Wealth Advisor and Trust Officer, and Missy Mullins, VP Trust Officer, in 2023 to strengthen their Northern Neck team.
