URA Holdings PLC (LSE:URAH) CEO Bernard Olivier takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through a production and operational update for the Gravelotte emerald mine.
Olivier shared the company's progress over the last 11 weeks, highlighting that it is exceeding its recovery rates and grades. He mentioned that the company is currently achieving a grade of over 30 carats per ton and recovering larger emeralds, including a notable 50-carat emerald.
Olivier also discussed the improvements made in the mining process, including fine-tuning their optical sorter, which now achieves an 80% recovery rate. The current processing rates are between 60 to 70 tonnes per day, and URA Holdings is looking to improve these rates further.
Additionally, Olivier talked about the company's plans for a trial emerald sale with the Bonas Group later this year and its efforts to expand its land around Gravelotte with an additional prospecting license. He also touched on the recent acquisition of a majority stake in Prasinus Exploration, which owns the Curlew Emerald mine in Western Australia.
Bernard concluded with the upcoming milestones for Gravelotte, including the trial sale and ongoing updates on their progress.
