Union Jack up 7.5% on the back of Oklahoma well news

Shares in Union Jack Oil PLC (AIM:UJO, OTCQB:UJOGF) rose 7.5% after confirming the completion of drilling for the Andrews 2-17 well in Oklahoma.

Reaching its main target, the Hunton Limestone, at a depth of 4,180 feet, the well exhibited elevated gas readings, and showed positive signs of hydrocarbons through oil and gas shows, stain, and fluorescence, as interpreted from wireline logs.

Completion and production testing of the Andrews 2-17 well are scheduled to commence within the next 14 days.

The stock rose 1.3p to 18.55p.
