Elon Musk has confirmed the long-speculated and expected relocation of his businesses, social media firm X and SpaceX, to Texas from California – with a dig aimed at California’s Democrat state governor Gavin Newsom.
Commenting on California’s new rules relating to the disclosure of child gender identity in schools, Musk posted on his X platform “this is the last straw”.
I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children

Musk previously moved Tesla to Texas in 2021.
It comes in the same week that Musk reportedly backed Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, donating $45 million to a ‘PAC’ funding campaign funding group.
